Crystal Lynn Webster is a historian of African American history. She researches history of early America with a focus on African American women & children, and criminalization & incarceration. Her work has been published in scholarly journals, public history websites and blogs, and edited collections. Her book, Beyond the Boundaries of Childhood: African American Children in the Antebellum North is forthcoming with University of North Carolina Press.
